David Beaudoin
David Beaudoin was born and raised in Quebec City, lives now in BC and has his Squeaky Cheese made in different locations in each province, which kind of makes him a local all across Canada.
A cheese-lover at heart, David moved to the Okanagan in 2005, where he turned his passion into an enterprise and launched Squeaky Cheese and the Kebek Cheese Distribution Company.
With a thorough understanding of the industry, he now shares his knowledge and enthusiasm for making, tasting and enjoying cheeses of all kinds. Dubbed ‘The Cheese Poet’ and known locally as ‘The Squeaky Cheese Guy,’ he an educator and story teller, dedicated to support our Canadian Cheese Makers and Farmers!
My Mission
David’s mission is to educate 1 million Canadians in the importance of choosing our own cheese over any other cheese, at any cost. He is also there to provide a steady supply of Squeaky Cheese to Canadians as well as spread the word about the joy of our deliciously addictive cheese curds.
A Squeaky Cheese Revolution
When we started Squeaky Cheese, we could have chosen to save in product costs by making it with modified milk ingredients. Instead, we chose to use only 100% real Canadian milk to provide the purest, most authentic cheese available.
We don’t believe in cutting corners to improve the bottom line, and our customers appreciate that. And while our cheese is now made in collaboration many local cheese makers accross the country, our goal is to bring our product to the masses across Canada and the world so everyone can experience real Squeaky Cheese.
We also want to tell the story of our cheese, and educate Canadians about everything that goes into the healthy, delicious and high-quality dairy products we’re so fortunate to enjoy.
It starts right at the dairies with cows that are treated humanely and raised without unnecessary hormones or antibiotics. It carries on through to the artisan cheese-makers who follow age-old techniques and recipes to create their distinct styles of cheese.
Our mission is all about creating awareness, and we’ll continue to pursue it in every curd, every package, and every visit to a restaurant or distributor of Squeaky Cheese.
